The short version

Find Heat Pump is a static directory. We don't ask you to sign up, register an account or hand over personal data to use the site. We don't run trackers, retargeting pixels, or any third-party analytics that profile visitors.

What we collect

Anonymous server logs. When you visit, our hosting provider records the request — page URL, timestamp, broad geographic region, user-agent string — in standard server logs. These are kept for a maximum of 30 days for security and operational debugging, then deleted.
Page-view counts. We use cookieless, server-side page-view counts to understand which guides are useful. No individual visitor is identifiable from this data.
Email correspondence. If you email us, we keep the message and our reply until the conversation is clearly closed, then for up to 12 months for reference.

What we don't collect

No advertising trackers.
No third-party analytics that share data with Google, Meta or similar.
No tracking cookies. We don't set any cookies that require consent under PECR / UK GDPR.
No remarketing pixels.

Installers in the directory

The installer profiles on this site contain business contact data published on the public MCS certified installer register. We treat this as business information, not personal data, in the same way that Companies House and other public registers do.

If you are the proprietor of a listed installer and you'd like your details removed, email hello@findheatpump.co.uk and we will remove the listing at the next refresh.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Ask what data we hold about you (subject access).
Ask us to correct or delete it.
Object to processing.
Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Hosting and data location

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Static files are distributed via Cloudflare's global CDN. Any server-side processing of email correspondence happens within the UK / EEA.
